We Are Neurodiversity Affirming
What we believe and how we ever-improve
-
We believe that if your mind and body work differently than those around you, you do not need to be changed or fixed to appear more “normal” or “healthy” just in order to match the expectations of others.
-
We believe that many of the mental health conditions that neurodivergent folks experience result from the pressures and even treatments that encourage individuals to present as neurotypical.
-
We continually study, reflect, and consult with other leaders in this field to ensure we are providing supports that are affirming of one’s unique way of being.
-
Our work outside of daily counseling sessions requires ongoing learning with Autistic and neurodivergent individuals from whom we continually seek feedback to improve upon the outcomes for our clients.
